Do I need a dealer license to bid on salvage auto auctions like Copart or IAAI?

Hi everyone, I'm planning to buy a project car through an online vehicle auction (looking at Copart and IAAI listings). I found a few options I like, but during the account creation process, it asks for a business/dealer license.

Is it actually possible for a regular public buyer to bid on these cars directly without having a registered dealer license, or do I always have to use a licensed broker?
