Nitro Commerce
Integrate NitroX (Nitro Commerce) with Netcore to identify anonymous website visitors via cookieless tracking and trigger pre-checkout campaigns.
Overview
"Nitro" usually refers to Nitro Commerce, an AI-powered growth and marketing platform built specifically for direct-to-consumer (D2C) and retail brands. Nitro Commerce works earlier in the funnel than checkout-stage tools, solving three common blind spots in customer acquisition and identity tracking:
- Anonymous visitors: identifies anonymous website traffic using cookieless tracking technology before a visitor has entered any contact details.
- High acquisition costs: provides an alternative ad engine to help brands find high-intent audiences more cheaply than traditional social media ads.
- Broken attribution: unifies user identity across offline retail journeys and online stores, so brands know exactly where a sale came from.
NitroX is the identity and data layer of Nitro Commerce, and it's the only part of the platform this integration uses. Nitro Commerce's ad engine and attribution tools are separate capabilities and are not part of the Netcore integration; only identified-visitor profiles and website events are shared with Netcore.
The NitroX and Netcore Connection
- Targeting anonymous drop-offs. NitroX identifies "window shoppers". Visitors who look at products but leave before ever starting a checkout flow. It exports these rich user profiles and website events directly into Netcore.
- Pre-checkout journeys. Netcore can use Nitro's intent data to trigger personalized browsing-abandonment campaigns. For example, sending a WhatsApp alert saying, "We saw you looking at these shoes!"; long before the customer even reaches a checkout page.
Supported Events
NitroX exports website events to Netcore, including:
- Product Viewed
- Add to Cart
- Checkout
- Buy
Product ID can be added as a data field on the following events:
- Add to Cart
- Checkout
- Buy
This lets campaigns and journeys reference the specific product a visitor engaged with, rather than relying on generic browsing-behavior data alone.

FAQs
Q. What's the difference between Nitro Commerce and NitroX?
A. Nitro Commerce is the full platform (identification, ad engine, attribution). Nitro is specifically the identity/data layer that connects to Netcore. It is the only part of Nitro Commerce this integration uses.
Q. Do I need to change anything on my website?
A. No code changes are typically required on your end. Nitro handles the on-site identification, and the integration to Netcore is configured on the backend.
Q. Can I use Nitro Commerce if I'm also using its ad engine or attribution tools?
A. Yes. The Netcore integration only consumes Nitro's identified-visitor and event data. It doesn't interfere with other Nitro Commerce capabilities you use.
Q. Can I use Nitro alongside other checkout or identification tools (e.g., Shopflo)?
A. Yes. Nitro identifies visitors earlier in the funnel. This includes browsing, cart, checkout, and purchase events, while tools like Shopflo focus specifically on the checkout stage. The two are complementary, not overlapping.
